What didn't go wrong with 2024? Prices rose. The dishwasher broke. A neighbor slammed into my fences causing $3000 worth of damage. I learned I have degenerative disc disease and a herniated disk. My town has no public transportation or ride share when the car needs to stay at the mechanic for a day. And then my faithful companion of 13 + years, Josie my Labrador Retriever died of Mast Cell Tumor cancer.
Through it all I hiked. I took a camera along at times. Other times I couldn't hardly lift my phone to snap a bad shot.
And just becasue we made it into 2025 doesn't mean difficult times are over.
But plans are to get over the hill to the Ruby Marshes. And although I've only been to Tuscarora once I'd like to return with some different camera equiptment. Possibly Jarbidge once the snow melts and mud season is over.
Nevada has a lot of amazing stuff to put it mildly. But the roads are anything but. So if you go exploring, take a satillite device and a car in good mechanical shape. Always tell someone where you are going!
